Coffee in My Monitor
September 18th, 2008The day began rather uneventful. A co-worker was at my cubicle discussing a project and before we knew it coffee was flying across my desk, soaking up business papers, and running down my monitor. We quickly attempted to clean up and save the important papers.
In the process of cleaning up a stack of paper napkins was brought to help clean up. After I was situated again I noticed that I still had half a stack of napkins on my desk. No one had taken it back to the supplies room. “Oh well,” I thought, “I may need it in the future.” Little did I know that it would only be a few hours.
It wasn’t coffee this time, but cold tea. I was again sitting at my cubicle discussing a project with another co-worker, when “dump” and there went my prized cold tea. I quickly grabbed the napkins and before long we got it cleaned up. I was a little concerned about my new ergonomic keyboard, but it seemed to be fine.
I try to watch where I set open containers at my desk. I don’t know who may come by desk.
BTW – I posted a sign out side my desk: “Spill Free for _____ Days.” Today I posted in “2.”
