This is a video that you must see. It is Ray Vander Laan speaking about running the race. We cannot hold back, we have to give it our all.

I highly recommend Ray Vander Laan’s videos.

Interview with an Atheist

I found the following video convicting and inspirational.

Early this morning there were three people killed right up the street from where I live.

Graduation 2007

June 20th, 2007

The elementary school across the street recently had their eighth grade graduation. One of their speakers was a friend of mine. He also wrote a song for them. We recorded it with a cheap mic and a poor sound card.

Enjoy.

Close By

June 17th, 2007

The six terrorist who were planning to have a shootout at Fort Dix in New Jersey had some relations to a mosque that is close to the church where I work. Someone at the mosque told me that five of the six terrorist have already attended prayer there. He said that three of the men changed the roof at the mosque this spring. He also made it clear that this mosque did not produce this theology.

It seem strange to have had potential terrorist so close by.

Recently I took a group from a Mennonite high school to this mosque. We were able to listen to the English interpretation of the “sermon.”

Sounds at Night

June 16th, 2007

It close to 11PM and I can still hear fireworks. Even though July Fourth is still a couple of weeks away everyone seems to be getting in the spirit early. Actually, I believe it is illegal to do fireworks in the city, because it makes it harder to hear gun shots (at least this is a reason they use to try to enforce it).

Another sound that can be heard late at night is the ice cream truck. It surprising how late you will hear they tune being played as they drive by. I know recently it was around 10:30PM when one. I believe I have already heard it later then that.

Skuykill River Trail

June 16th, 2007

Today I biked the Skuykill River Trail with two youth boys from my Bible Study class. The trip was about about twenty miles long. We had a great time, except for one small accident and two close accidents. By the time we got back we were tired.

Temple University

Two students from Temple University did a school project on our Tuesday Bible study. They were great to work with.

“Not My President”

June 13th, 2007

I came across an interesting blog by Fred Butler who is a member of John MacArthur’s church in California.

Here is a quote:

Back in December 2004, I was with my family at Disneyland with a group of friends and as we were in line waiting to get on some ride, a group of anti-Bush malcontents came striding past us. One of the guys was wearing a tee shirt with a big image of a stern faced George Bush plastered on the front with the words scrawled across it, NOT MY PRESIDENT.

I had to keep from laughing at him until he walked on past with his pals, because I thought myself, “his shirt represents the nature of unbelief…

However, it is a fallacious assertion to proclaim George Bush is “Not my president,” because it doesn’t matter how much a person despises Bush as a person or how much he or she hates his policies in the world, he is still your president – end of issue, period…
